I don't understand how this machine works - it's just a few very simple parts, but so powerful!!!
Very good at juicing almost everything - greens, vegetables, fruit - although, it does run into a little trouble with soft items (like peaches or papaya). They tend to get clogged in it. If juicing soft items, I recommend making a mixed juice with something hard in it as well (i.e. carrots). While juicing, interchange feeding pieces of the hard items with the soft items, as the hard items will help eliminate the clog caused by the soft items. The reverse rotation button also helps greatly in eliminating the clog.
People getting the juicer for health reasons will probably be mostly juicing greens, root vegetables, and some apples. And adding some softer fruit for extra flavor. So the clogging is a non-issue for me, and won't be for you, if you are getting this juicer for the same reason.
Cleaning is very easy - most of the parts can be simply rinsed off, and 2 - the auger and the meshed piece - just need to be cleaned with a brush for a few seconds.
I've had it for over a year and I still think it's the most trustworthy appliance I own! And one of the best investments as well.

I've owned a Champion juicer, a Breville centrifugal juicer, and now this Omega J8006. This is by far the most enjoyable to use, and appears quite well made. It's not quite the industrial quality of the Champion, but close. If you are looking for a low-speed masticating juicer, this is the one you want. It's very quiet, and wrings every last bit of juice out of everything you feed it. I've re-processed pulp from the Omega and gotten at most an extra few percent of the juice from the first run. Very efficient extraction. The only disadvantage I can see is the need to cut things pretty small. The high-speed Champion digests large, whole carrots with ease, but if you want the healthier processing of low speed, you don't want the Champion. Plan on cutting your hard veggie (carrot, etc.) pieces about 1/2" thick, and apples-type fruit about 3/4". I've only used the Omega a few times and I don't know how much of an issue that will be over the long run, but I suspect it's not going to be a big deal.

I love this juicer. This is the first juicer I have ever bought. I wanted one that will juice wheatgrass and after reading several reviews, I decided to get this one. I love it!!! It is easy to use and very easy to clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

We did a lot of research before purchasing a juicer and I'm so glad. We absolutely love this juicer. It juices everything from wheatgrass to apples to citrus fruits. It is easy to use, about as attractive as a juicer can be, and is very easy to clean. We highly recommend this for anybody looking for a high quality, versatile juicer. It's worth the cost.
