Amazon.com Review

With a capacity of more than a quart (34 ounces), this electric juicer can prepare family-size portions with little operator effort. Large and small cones fit on the reamer to accommodate different-size fruits. The reamer automatically reverses itself to extract the maximum amount of juice, while a stirrer presses juice from the pulp in the strainer. Finally, there's an adjustable control that regulates how much pulp goes into the juice, a feature margarita fanciers will welcome. For storage, the cord wraps in a slot around the base, and a cover protects against dust. Hand wash this juicer in warm soapy water. --Fred Brack Editor's Choice:A great first juicer, or a good juicer for someone who doesn't juice every day, Black & Decker's CitrusMate Plus citrus juicer is our choice for best citrus juicer under $50. It will fit into every budget and still deliver lots of fresh juice. This juicer is extremely easy to use, as you just install the cone you want to use (it comes with two cones, making it adaptable for different sizes of fruit), plug it in, and press the fruit down into the cone. Then it goes to work automatically.

"good juicer but handle broke"
 2010-07-16
By R. Delaney (California)
The juicer works very well at extracting juice from oranges lemon and limes (haven't tried it with grapefruit). The handle is the weak point. Mine broke while I was drying it with a towel. I didn't feel like I was putting all that much pressure on it. Now I need a new carafe. The lid is kinda useless unless you are storing it for an extended time. It needs time to dry out between uses; the lid would make that difficult and promote the growth of mold/mildew. You can put the carafe and reamers in the dishwasher but you will have to wash the strainer part by hand. The larger reamer fits over the smaller one and that seems to work well. The largest opening was letting small seeds in the orange into the juice. The middle setting keeps that from happening and is fine with me. Good juicer except for the handle. I juice oranges about 10 everyday. It doesn't seem to have much problem with them. I agree with other posters that say that it is easy to juice. The raised ridges on the reamers do a good job on the oranges with little effort.

"Reviews made this sound great" 2010-07-14
By M. Johnson (New York)
The first week we had it, we loved this juicer and made several containers of OJ. Around week 3-4, the motor started clicking and slipping when we pushed down hard, so we stopped pushing hard. Keep in mind that when I say "hard" I mean about 10 lbs of force with one hand, less than you would use for a manual juicer.

Long story short, after another week the clicking got worse, and we had to use progressively less and less force. Now it is so flimsy it doesn't work well at all, and to get it to work (I kid you not) I have to use earplugs because the clicking is so loud. The machine is light plastic and inexpensive, so I can't really say I'm surprised. I have to imagine that most of these other reviewers wrote their reviews in the first few weeks of use when it worked great.

If you juice oranges a few times a month, then this juicer is for you. If you want regular juice, then I would recommend another brand/model.

"Little Power House Juicer - No Mess Left"
 2010-07-14
By Bruce Davis (Walpole, NH)
Before ordering a juicer, I was concerned that the juices may fly out and hit my shirt and walls.

I am happy to report that never a splatter of juice has occurred (and I do not use the cover), after making 10 gallons of lemonade and a pitcher of orange juice.

I use to squeeze the lemons carefully by hand (and with love). This juicer is increasing the juice output by 2/3rds over hand squeezing

I find that this operates very quickly, with no mess, and is easy to clean in the dishwasher.
I highly recommend this juicer, it will allow you to quickly make healthy fruit drinks.

"A good buy"

I bought this juicer several years ago, and have been very happy with it. It is small, so it doesnt take up a lot of storage space, and its relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other juicers on the market.

Its easy to use, there arent a lot of attachments to keep track of. If all u want is an orange juicer, this is all u need. There's nothing as good as fresh squeezed orange juice!

"Great little juicer"

This juicer is wonderful. I previously squeezed lemons for lemonade by hand. This juicer makes the job easy and it is much quicker.
