Amazon.com Review

Juicing is a healthful way to eat fruits and veggies, and the Waring Juice Extractor takes juicing to the next level. A high-speed 400-watt motor makes the extraction process efficient, and makers of carrot juice will especially appreciate the brushed stainless-steel housing--the extractor won't turn orange with age. Everyone who's ever owned a juicer knows that cleanup is the biggest downfall of home juicing. With the Waring, that won't be an issue--the compact strainer, pulp collector, lid, and juice collector are all dishwasher-safe, and the stainless-steel body wipes clean with a sponge. The extractor's die-cast base stays steady on the countertop, and its cushioned feet will minimize vibration, protecting the countertop from scratches. The extractor comes with an instruction book, a five-year limited warranty on the motor, and a one-year limited appliance warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

"My Waring Juicing Machine Review"
 2010-07-12
By J. Brooks (Yonkers, NY)
After washing it, I tried it out for the first time. I like it. I hated the carrot juice, but I like the machine. It took about 16 minutes to clean --the strainer basket with the attached shredder took about 5 minutes of those minutes to scrub (yes scrub) clean. I made a carrot and apple juice mix. Yuck!!!

Update:

I really like the machine. I like the idea that I can get a good dose of vegetables on a daily basis (something I haven't really been doing). I also like that the machine is relatively quiet. The blender is much, much noisier. The cleanup of the juicer is fairly easy. I originally timed the cleanup of the juice at about 16 minutes. Today, the time was closer to 12 minutes. Half of the time cleaning comes from cleaning the shredding/strainer disk. The cheap brush provided really isn't doing the greatest job. I'll probably have to use a toothbrush to clean the shredding/straining disk.

Oh, I noticed that the juicer really should be clean soon after using. Today, I wanted to go to the store. I did leave the shredding/straining disk soaking, but leaving the machine with the pulp in caused condensation of the pulp juice into the area under the pulp-collection basket and spinner (not the easiest place to clean if you get food or juice there). I think the juicer is fairly easy to clean if you don't let the food sit in it too long. I can see it becoming a nightmare to clean if the food hardens and dries out.

I forgot to mention in my previous entry that the fruit and/or vegetables need to be dry before using the juicing machine. At first, I washed the vegetables right before putting them in the machine, this just produced extra moisture in the pulp. The excess water on the f/v seems to add to the pulp, but not the juice. Another (minor) problem is that if the food going in is wet, it causes the food pusher to not slide down easily; I think I've solved that by rubbing cooking oil on the push.

"Excellent juicer with ease of use and low pulp. Great price. Works better than the more expensive ones."

I find this juicer very easy to use with only a few parts to assemble/dissemble and clean. It's really easy to use. I find this better than one of the breville juicers I owned which is almost 4 times as expensive as this one. Cleaning is a breeze with this. Also, not too much fruit/vegetable wastage via pulp. In a nutshell, a simple, cheap and excellent juicer. No need to buy more expensive juicers. Just waste of money.

"It works but not well."

We purchased this juicer about 5 years ago; we had it about two years before it killed over. It does work and the price is affordable but you get what you pay for as the more often true than not saying goes. It is quite loud and you do not get much juice from it. Cleaning it was OK. We have upgraded to the Breville BJE200XL.

"Excellent Product"

I received my juicer today and found it simple to use, easy to clean, and very, very good at producing delicious, healthy juice. 1 apple, 2 strawberries, 4 carrots and 2 celery stalks produced just about 24oz of perfectly extracted juice. You cannot beat this juicer for the price and quality. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for an affordable, reliable juicer.

"juicer works fine."

There is nothing wrong with the juicer, but, I am allergic to fresh fruit & some veges. I thought I have been on shots long enough to build my resistance, but I wasn't. That, is the only reason it did not work out for me! Thank-you, and accepy my apologies, Perian Dunmire
